Dr. Collins enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately after graduating high school in Northwest Indiana. He became a Texas resident during his active duty 4 year enlistment while pursuing his college undergraduate studies in the evenings after working at Sheppard Regional Hospital. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997 with a doctorate in Dental Surgery. He then moved to Dallas and completed a residency program for Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry-Texas A&M University System in 1998. Upon completion of his education, Kerrville became his home. Anyone who knows the doctor knows that one of his passions is his motorcycles, he enjoys traveling throughout the United States as often as possible. Dr. Collins has a son with whom he enjoys many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and skiing.
Dr. Collins is passionate about dentistry and dedicated to insuring that every patient have the best dental experience possible. It’s important to him that the patient be involved in their individual treatment plan, as everyone is not the same. Patient’s quickly become comfortable because Dr. Collins is a good listener and explains procedures thoroughly which makes them feel comfortable. He believes that the patient is the most important part of his practice and is committed to providing every patient with the highest quality care possible.
